I upgraded the motherboard for my desktop to a GA-990X-Gaming SLI (rev. 1.0). Everything works fine in Kubuntu. There was a minor glitch at the beginning. I had to change the DNS address in my router.
I wanted to do some beta testing on Babe, a new kde-based music player. So, I installed KaOS. Everything works fine except intel ethernet. I've tried what was suggested here No joy.
This ethernet controller was launched 4Q2012. So, there shouldn't be a problem with driver availability, especially since it works flawlessly in Kubuntu. Given that KaOS's kernels are more recent releases, it certainly looks like the root problem is that something is misconfigured in the network setup. I've tried booting from a USB stick with the most recent ISO release, and then running the commands listed above. The results are the same.
Anybody have any suggestions?
