michael I try to give my PC a manual IP address in Network Connections under the IPv4 tab. When I set everything there is no "save" dialog and when I reenter the Network Connections menu, it is DHCP again. Anyone experiencing the same problem? Michael
fjmorazan hi michael, Is the connection by any chance a wired one? If it's the case, then can you check if it is marked the checkbox Allow auto-negotiation in the Wired tab on the network manager editor?
michael helllo fjmorazan It is wired and the Allow auto-negotiation is not checked. Should it be? Does it have anything to do with the IPv4 tab?
fjmorazan michael Well it was already fixed on upstream and aplied the changes on kaos, but on old connections you have to mark that checkbox since it only applies the fix with new wired connections 😅
michael OK, the contents in the IPv4 tab are not deleted now. That is progress. But my IP is not static either, despite adding my info.
fjmorazan michael I think you need to restart the network manager service to apply the changes on the ip address systemctl restart NetworkManager.service
