demm This not Archlinux 🙂, start with that. To find the right path to any packagefile, use pkgfile, your ~/.bashrc already has an alias for it, :pf, so for this case, make sure to point to the right path of nologin: :pf bin/nologin
mrcrowley :pf bin/nologin core/util-linux 2.32.1-1 /sbin/nologin not sure to understand ... should I replace the path to nologin into /etc/passwd file, from /usr/bin/nologin to /sbin/nologin ???
demm Are you actually running KaOS? Are you editing those kind of files by hand? No default KaOS install will have that in /etc/passwd: https://github.com/KaOSx/core/blob/master/filesystem/passwd What is the output of pacman -Qm?
mrcrowley Yes, I am running KaOS. I usually do not edit those files. I find on the web that someone did, even on WikiArch. But with Plex I did not edit those files. pacman -Qm ccnet 6.1.8-1 etcher 1.1.2-1 fatrat 1.2.0.4-4 libusb-compat 0.1.5-1 luckybackup 0.4.9-1 plex-media-server 1.13.8.5395-1
majoballs mrcrowley But what does all this have to do with Plex? You install and run the service, add it to autostart and roughly everything. # systemctl enable --now plexmediaserver.service
demm majoballs But what does all this have to do with Plex? Nothing. OP decided to basically break his/her install by editing very important files with things stated on the web, ignoring the needs of a working KaOS.
mrcrowley mrcrowley pwck[1497]: user 'plex': program '/usr/bin/nologin' does not exist as write up before
mrcrowley demm Who he is it ?? I said that I read on the web some things but I did not edit that files !!!!
