demm Hello Demm
Thanks for the quick reply. Good news about the BIOS ... Thanks !
Regarding the failed hardware test and its possible relation to faulty live media ...
I burned the ISO file to DVD and made sure to burn it at 4X speed or less as advised in the KaOS site.
** DVD Media specs: DVD+R DL ( DVD Recordable Up to 8X ) RW Windata 8.5GB
I downloaded a free burner called All Free ISO Burner http://www.allfreevideoconverter.com/freeisoburner/index.html
I decided not to install the ImgBurner recommended on the KaOS site because it attempted to load some type of adware / malware on my Windows 10 laptop.
I proceeded to burn two DVDs of the ISO file: one at 2X speed and the other at 4X speed.
What is strange here is that I get different boot errors depending on which live DVD I decide to boot.
The errors I mentioned on my previous post were all related to the DVD that was burned at 4X speed.
Here are the errors that I get when I attempt to boot the live DVD burned at 2X speed:
:: Waiting for boot device ...
Waiting 30 seconds for device /dev/disk/by-label/KAOS_20181223 ...
ERROR: boot device didn't show up after 30 seconds ...
Falling back to interactive prompt
You can try to fix the problem manually, log out when you are finished
sh: can't access tty: job control turned off

Regarding the hardware test, I am still getting the same error with the 2X version as I am getting with the 4X version.
Let me know if I should re-burn the DVD and recommend me a good DVD burner software, or if I should go with the USB option instead.
