ctfolmar I would like to add the AUR repository so I can search packages in Octopi. I am specifically looking for numlockx. I found in this forum where someone said AUR had the package and it was working for them. However, I can find no instructions on how to add a repository. Thanks for your help.
demm Make sure to read what KaOS is, it is not based on any other, nor is it compatible with other distros/can you add outside repos https://kaosx.us/ https://kaosx.us/#repo https://kaosx.us/about/based/ To add any missing from the KaOS repo, you either build yourself, or use KCP: https://kaosx.us/docs/package/ https://kaosx.us/docs/kcp/
ctfolmar I am aware KaOS is independent, not based on Arch or any other distribution. That is one of the big reasons I like it and am using KaOS daily. However majoballs said numlockx from AUR was working for him in this post https://forum.kaosx.us/d/2316-numlock-on-startup. So I thought why not give it a shot since I am having the exact same issue he had. I really try to figure things out on my own before asking for help. And I often succeed 😄 , but not always :-( Iĺl be happy to check those repos listed above. But I do not know how to tell if they are already in my system, or how to include them if they are not. Do I add them here? /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist Thanks for your time.
demm There are no repos listed above, just things that explain how to add packages not in the repos, and further docs. Please read them, like the Packaging guide.
