Hard to imagine to remove such a staple of KDE from a KDE only distro.....
But the time has come to question how much longer Amarok can stay.
The repo has quite a few packages that have been completely abandoned since 2007-2009, solely because Amarok still needs them. There is no sign whatsoever of any maintenance in Amarok for well over 2 years. Not a hint if it will ever move to Qt 5/frameworks 5. Now Clementine is ready for Qt 5 too, with that some shared Amarok/Clementine depends like liblastfm & libmygpo-qt have moved to Qt 5. That means keeping Amarok can only be done by removing more and more of it's functions. And the complete end of Qt 4/KDE 4 is fast approaching.
So what is your opinion, keep a stripped down Amarok in the repo? Or remove it and replace with a new music player that is fully maintained and Qt 5 ready?
Options that come to mind to replace it with are Tomahawk and Bomi, other suggestions welcome.
