Just a heads up for other users that are trying make Live USB stick in Windows out of a KAOSx.ISO.
If ImageWriter doesn't work for you. If it can't see your usb stick, you can use ImageUSB as an alternative. It does the same thing - writes the ISO to USB bit by bit (same as dd). BE CAREFUL: This will destroy all the partitions on whatever stick or disk you use it on, so don't use it on a device that has partitions any you want to keep. Again, it will not overwrite the partition you selected, but the whole disk.
ImageUSB can be found here: http://download.cnet.com/ImageUSB/3000-2192_4-75338329.html
There are many other ISO to liveUSB programs, such as LinuxLive but they tend to copy ISO content to fat32 partitition with syslinux. This doesn't work for KAOS because the live kernel mounts the live partition using it's label and fat32 doesn't have enough characters to allow you to name the partition say KAOS_201510. You need a DD like application to do a bit by bit copy.
Hope this helps.
