Hi,
I have had KaOS installed for more than a year, working fine. Today, it refuses to start. The system starts aparently fine until the log-in menu. When I type the password and Enter, it goes to a black screen, it shows for an instant the console-like screen where the loading process is detailed, and finally goes back to the log-in page, as if nothing had happended. I tried a few times, but the loop repeated. I restarted, but nothing changed. As I said, the console-like screen is shown for an instant, so I cannot read anything, but I can tell that there are not red tags.
I don't know if it is related (I guess it shouldn't), but this happens after I tested a live version of OpenMandriva. I wanted to test its performance with different formats of files, so I tried to access the hard drive from the live session. I had to mount the disc manually on the /media folder of the live session, but even then I couldn't get access to my personal folder, so I ran (as su)
chown -R live /media
After that, I could access the mounted folders and its content. I finished my test, and I exit the live session, and shut down the computer. Next time, when I tried to start KaOS from the hard drive, the problem arised.
Any ideas?
