Do you mean composer ?
To not pollute system files I installed in a ".bin" folder inside my home directory.
- Get composer phar using composer instructions
- Make a ".bin" directory in $HOME folder, and move composer.phar in there
- Add this code to your .bash_profile in your home directory
if [[ $UID -ge 1000 && -d $HOME/.composer/vendor/bin && -z $(echo $PATH | grep -o $HOME/.composer/vendor/bin) ]]
then
export PATH=$HOME/.composer/vendor/bin:${PATH}
fi
if [[ $UID -ge 1000 && -d $HOME/.bin && -z $(echo $PATH | grep -o $HOME/.bin) ]]
then
export PATH=$HOME/.bin:${PATH}
fi
Open a new shell and you should be able to use composer
