Brand new KaOS user here :) and so far liking the approach (rolling everything with KDE focus).
Mainly a Windows 10 user, some Kubuntu 16.04 as my main Linux.
Recently upgraded to a Skylake i5 H170 system with Samsung 950 Pro NVMe m.2 SSD stick and wanted the latest and greatest in Linux kernel and KDE releases.
Searched around for alternatives to Kubuntu (since they seem to be struggling these days) and tried Fedora rawhide for a while but as soon as I discovered KaOS it seemed to be the best choice out of all right now.
Currently can't install it to my SSD due to but luckily have another SATA SSD so I can play around with this.
Looking forward to KaOS' success and this becoming more refined and capable distro.
Cheers!
