First of, this is not another Arch based, so if you are looking for such a distro, KaOS is not for you:
If you are interested in KaOS as an independent distro, then try to edit the boot options. You state using UEFI, so type
e and edit the kernel line, setting nouveau to =0, might want to try adding
blacklist=nouveau at the end of the kernel line. See if this forces the use of intel (it might fall back to vesa).
If this works, then you will have to repeat these steps after the install. Once booted into the new install you can try and setup for hybrid cards:
Another option is to try and use the in-kernel driver with modesetting.
Again start with typing
e, then add to the end of the kernel line
this will boot the live session in console mode. Login with live/live and remove the the nouveau driver
sudo pacman -R xf86-video-nouveau
and start sddm after that
sudo systemctl start sddm
If this boots into a graphics live mode then check with
inxi -G to see what driver is in use.
