I just installed KaOS 2017.01 & have the current updates.
I have to enter the wifi password every time I boot. I enabled KWallet to prompt when an application uses the wallet all to no avail.
Ideas?
Wifi password not remembered upon reboot
The wallet should be named kdewallet.
for SSO (single sign on) use see https://forum.kaosx.us/d/1611-kde-wallet-asking-for-password-after-logging-in

just a note, to be able to unlock the wallet at login the wallet have to be named kdewallet, you can't use pam-kdewallet with any other name (realized that yesterday). Also, the password must be the same as the one used to login to your account.
Thank you all for the help. I followed the instructions with kdewallet-pam.
It still did not work. It produced the following error:
Failed to update connection mressex Error writing to file
'/etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/mressex': failed to create
file /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/mressex.5T0PVY: No such
file or directory
I manually created the directory with sudo/mkdir, tried saving the connection/settings again and it worked! So it seems there may be a permission issue out of the box with either KDE/KWallet/NetworkManager/PAM or something.
I should add, in reference to my previous post, that the KDE Wallet was named "kdewallet" as it is upon default install. I did not change the wallet name.
This thread can be marked as solved. (I don't see how I can do that myself.)
