jeffkwas Hi. I'm loving KaOS on my ASUS Vivostick except for one issue: I need my Bluetooth keyboard enabled at login and despite numerous searches and attempts at fixes I cannot find anything that works. Has anyone been able to make this work? Thanks
demm To give others a chance to help help you make sure to post what you have tried so far, what exact hardware is in use, any journalctl or dmesg logs regarding bluetooth, if it works once logged in, etc.
jeffkwas I am using an ASUS Vivostick pc which is an Intel-based device with Bluetooth 4.0 low Energy built in. I am using a rather generic Bluetooth keyboard. Everything works perfectly once I am logged in to the OS. The Bluetooth is not active only at a restart and sitting st the login screen. I am using the Bluetooth settings that are built into KaOS. I would expect to be able to use the system as it is distributed, not have to go on the internet and find various tweaks and write scripts and do one-off fixes when i am sure that this is something others will come across. It also appears that wifi isn't connecting until I get logged in. There should be a way to set wifi and Bluetooth to be active at startup and not require a login first.
jeffkwas I have set my account to auto-login and the keyboard works as soon as the black logo splash screen starts loading. I can then do a log off or lock the screen if I need to secure the pc.
demm As for Wifi in the login screen (SDDM) see the upstream bug report, set as won't fix, not something a display manager should do: https://github.com/sddm/sddm/issues/744
