No need to reinstall, you can just add a partition, let's call it data
.
Shrink one of the existing partitions to create room for data
, or use another hdd for it.
Use sudo blkid
after you created that partition to get the UUID of it, then edit etc/fstab
and add the data
partition to it so it is mounted automatically.
