Friday April 6 was the day the KaOS server started having issues with mariadb. All websites that used a mysql database on that server went down that day.
After some time abroad, I was able to get some working internet to get mariadb running again, but access to the databases never returned, so the quickest option was to start a new server with an existing snapshot.
Unfortunately, that snapshot was 2 months old, and the only thing that did not have extra backups was the forum. All other websites and any other data for KaOS have been fully restored on this new server.
Users who registered from late January through late March will have to register again. Same goes for reset passwords.
Sorry for the inconvenience. New scripts have now been added to include bi-weekly forum back-ups.
