mendez Deem could you please, enable support jabber/xmpp in Kopete? Is there any reason why it is turned off? From pkgbuild: -DWITH_jabber=OFF \
demm mendez That would mean adding all the jingle/jabber dependencies to the repo, then adding tons of patches to kopete to make it build with some reasonable new versions from those new dependencies (linphone stack). No other app uses those new, so no candidate to be included. No extra packages will go in the repo, it will only be replacing current existing. https://github.com/KDE/kopete/blob/master/CMakeLists.txt#L110
mendez I'm sorry for the noise, but support for simple text jabber, without jingle, multimedia, otr, would also involve many new dependencies? Off topic: Could this will help with libreoffice with Qt in KaOS
demm Next kopete build I will try some different settings, but if you follow the cmake modules, it all comes down to jingle/jabber/linphone stack with kopete. For libreoffice, please open a new topic (and check libreoffice KaOS github entries, and you will see there are already major steps done to get a Qt/kf5 build, just not working yet). https://github.com/KaOSx/apps/tree/master/libreoffice https://github.com/KaOSx/apps/commit/f0e5fa16c1df496b11fd988ef4322f446c9a1c8e https://github.com/KaOSx/apps/blob/master/libreoffice/PKGBUILD#L173
