I have read about KaOS and got interested and liked to try it out.
When trying it out i found several errors.
1. The used gfxboot version is outdated. The recent version includes fixes for many systems like the one i am using. At the moment i just get "graphics initialization failed | Error setting up gfxboot".
Could you please update the used gfxboot software to the latest one so that i dont get errors? Here you can get the latest gfxboot software: https://github.com/openSUSE/gfxboot/commits/master
- At the moment i get following list:
Available boot options:
I tried nonfree (for nvidia) and got following error:
"Loading nonfree... failed: No such file or directory"
Then i tried hdt. The error there:
Undef symbol FAIL: parse_url
Failed to load COM32 file hdt.c32
Happily a normal "start" worked. In the os i clicked a bit around and saw that when you logout (not shutdown, not reboot, just logout), then you get this error:
"Configuration file "/var/lib/sddm/.config/sddm-greeterrc" not writable. Please contact your system administrator."
When i press "ok" i can login again with live/live.
When i am in this shutdown/reboot/logout... situation in the OS itself when the screen gets a bit darker, half of the screen-background gets color changed into a yellow rectangle. Is this maybe an error in nouveau? Maybe you could help out with this to get this fixed upstrem.
I cant test out the nonfree nvidia drivers (reason described above).
Thanks so far for the OS
