On the same topic of GTK apps integration (Firefox is a MUST, Thurnderbird NOT):
From the description:
"Focus on one DE (KDE Plasma), one toolkit (Qt)" and
"KaOS will stay limited in size of the repositories, and will work on quality instead of quantity".
If the repository is limited and the goal is to use the best Qt can offer (KDE Apps), why there's GTK based, and GTK librieries dependant, email client, while we have KMail ? KMail does not require GTK dependancies and is well integrated into KDE Personal Information Managemanet and is part of the whole KDE Suit?

(Kontact, Akregator, Blogilo, KAddressBook, KAlarm, KMail, KNotes, KOrgenizer, KonsoleKalendar, Kjots)
KMail is a powerful and easy to use Qt application. Its well integrated into KDE and is part of KDE PIM . All those applications are well connected and talk to each other. They are Desktop Environment AWARE, while GTK applications, like Thunderbird, are OUT OF PLACE and feel completely foreign int the Qt and KDE oriented distribution. KMail is easy to use and for advanced users- extremely powerful.
I think GTK based (and out of place) Thunderbird is no match (for DE aware and well integrated into KDE PIM) KMail. Hence I strongly believe it should be removed and MAKE PLACE for other Qt applications in the LIMITED repository.
We already have, Ubuntu based, KDE Neon. KaOS has to be different and should aim to be the best Qt and KDE distribution. Hence it shouldn't go against its own goals. Kids can always go and install Kubuntu or KDE Neon.
