Pango was wrongly updated to the latest 1.43.0. Several applications that depend on Pango failed to build on this version. It ends up now that 1.43.0 is not a new stable release, but just an early development version, thus not usable for most.
As always when on [build] and a package gets removed and you get a warning on updates that a local package is newer, run sudo pacman -Suu to get back to the versions used in the repositories.
