After testing Plasma 5.18RC in kde-next for the last three weeks, 5.18.0 is now moving to all users. See the release announcement from today.
You will notice quite a few changes in the notifications and a new userfeedback KCM as the most significant changes for this release. User feedback is set to off by default, so if you are willing to help the Plasma devs with data, then you will need to enable it (different levels of feedback possible).
One bug that was supposed to be fixed in this final version, is not. It was reported 2-3 weeks ago that the fonts KCM is broken, the
apply button is always grayed out, so this is a known issue. Expect this to be patched for KaOS as soon as a fix comes available.
The other, usual monthly KDE updates (frameworks 5.67 & KDE Apps 19.12.2 were moved to all users last Sunday.
With new Qt, Plasma, Midna theme, systemd, kernel, major new features to the installer and Croeso, it is time to start working on a new ISO. This will be the most new features packed new ISO in 4-5 years 🙂.
