Nvidia 495.44 has just been added to the [build] repo. With this version come two major changes, first one, it should now be possible to run a Wayland session with the non-free driver, second, support for many , a bit older cards (Kepler series & older) is dropped.

For the Wayland session, it still need some extras, won't work just as is. You will need to adjust the kernel parameters. This can either be done by editing the kernel line in the bootloader (press thee key in the bootloader to enter the edit mode) or by editing the last options line in /boot/loader/entries/KaOS_20xx.xx.conf and add nvidia-drm.modeset=1

For the cards no longer supported in 495.xx, a new legacy version has been added, nvidia 470xx packages.
On updating you will get a message (once 495.44 reaches stable), to check if your card is still supported by the latest nvidia, and if not, to switch to either the legacy 470xx or free drivers.
See https://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86_64/495.44/README/supportedchips.html for a list of the cards that are supported by 495.44.
