Good Morning,
I am wondering who I would speak to about hosting a public mirror for this project.
The mirror server would be hosted in our rack in Kansas City.
Thank you,
Anthony
Good Morning,
I am wondering who I would speak to about hosting a public mirror for this project.
The mirror server would be hosted in our rack in Kansas City.
Thank you,
Anthony
Thanks for offering this, another mirror will be much appreciated.
Current mirrors run an hourly cronjob with:
rsync -avO --delete-after kaosx.tk::kaos kaos
ISOs are synced to all mirrors too, just not all are linked on the Download page, if you have enough bandwidth, then it can be linked on the Download page too.
This mirror will take about 10 Gb of space.
If you decide to set it up, let me know the address so it can be added to the pacman-mirrorlist package.
Would you like to be added to the Sponsor page?
And if so, how?

Good Afternoon,
Your more then welcome to have another mirror, we love giving back to the linux community.
I have plenty of bandwidth to donate to the iso mirror as well, should you want to use it.
The rsync has been completed and set to the every 2 hours so as not to beat up your main mirror. If you would like this changed please just let me know.
Here is the mirror: http://kaosx.yourhostingsolutions.com/
Would love to have our logo on your sponsor page if it is ok with you guys, https://yourhostingsolutions.com/yhs-logo.png
I also read someone I think that hosting might become an issue? If so let me know as well as we are a webhosting company. If your interested let me know your needs and I will see what else we can donate.
Thanks!
Anthony
Thanks for adding. Sponsor page is adjusted, please let me know what text you would like (scroll down):

Added to the ISO list too (though it might be an issue for users that it is not https):

One server KaOS uses is owned by KaOS, but the second one (used as main mirror, kaosx.tk) is provided by Fosshost, but they are shutting down:
https://fosshost.org/
So a new VPS will be needed soon, https://radixproject.org/ might provide one again as a replacement of Fosshost, but nothing started there yet.
Quite welcome, I added the SSL to the site, so now you can set it up as https.
As far s a tag line, really don't have one, so maybe something simple like. "Get started quickly and easily with your own domain, website and email." I don't know... :-)
As far as a VPS or Dedicated server, what are some of the specs you are looking for?
Thanks,
Anthony
With fosshost, system specs are:
inxi -CPI
CPU: Topology: Dual Core model: Common KVM bits: 64 type: MCP L2 cache: 16.0 MiB
Speed: 2200 MHz min/max: N/A Core speeds (MHz): 1: 2200 2: 2200

Morning,
Since we are talking about some things that may lead to an IP, password and such, can you open a ticket with us so we can take it out of the public view?

Thanks!

Let me know how you would like YourHostingSolutions to be visible in the footer of every page (replacing the Fosshost entry).
https://kaosx.us/
https://github.com/KaOSx/kaosx.github.io/blob/master/_includes/footer.html#L9
Evening, would love it! Thanks so much for the love in return. :-)
YourHostingSolutions is now visible in the footer of every page. Moved up to second in the sponsor page. One use of the server is that is now connected to kaosx.tk, the address that all other mirrors sync off, and where all just build packages are uploaded to.
