It has been almost 2 years since there has been a major refresh of the Plasma theme, Midna, used in KaOS.
For Plasma 6 it certainly will be needed to update many files, since they will no longer work for that new major version.
Also, it is high time for a new wallpaper.
Here are some samples currently worked on for SDDM, any opinions on these options? Do you have a suggestion?
Midna has always been greyscale, and most of the time based on Material Design, these are all still Material, but maybe use some color this time?

I vote for the first one.

My opinion. The 1st one gets my vote. 2nd is dull, 3rd is too bright

I like the big clock, I also prefer something brighter over something dark like the first one.

When I started working with mostly new Linux users on a wider scale I was staggered by how many actually chose a distro based on one of its custom wallpapers they happened to like. The bigger the choice the more likely they were to adopt the distro. MX, Manjaro and Endeavour being prime examples. I also found the logo options enabled users to feel a sense of identity with the distro so IMO it’s important any future wallpapers for KaOS contain a logo. Of the examples shown here I prefer the first.

Higher resolution images, more than HD would be appreciated, especially for rEFInd theming - that one does not scale all over the screen, but shows according to the image screen resolution instead by default in rEFInd's .CONF file - which leaves part of the theming cut with black edges during boot (boot screen) on Full HD resolution screen.
