Happy New Year Demm,
After todays update my Epson XP-202 printer gives problems. The printer works just fine but the scanner fails to be detected by skanlite or skanpage. They start and then either "close" or say " failed to find".
On an almost identical setup on another disk and not updated it is still working.
Tried on a Virtualbox installation, all OK until update.
I've tried reverting the epson and cups updates but still no joy.
The following were updated to todays versions in the standard repos'

Edit: My HP scanner is still detected and working OK.

OK. Solved.
Same problem with other OS systems after updates.
Although the printer is recognised and works OK as a scanner and printer with the firewall enabled, after updates only the printer is recognised.
Cure.
Delete any scanner related files in ~/.config, then disable the firewall and restart Kooka, Skanlite or Skanpage and then the scanner is found. Re-enable the firewall and it is working. Rebooted and still working.

For your INFO also works with the latest KaOS testing
