I've just compile by myself the 24.02 branch and everything works fine, I'm using it daily.
I had issues with kate ever since the re-spun ktexteditor tar, kept going back to pkgrel -1 for that one to be able to use kate (I do everything in kate, can't work without). Just today I tried a rebuild on that latest ktexteditor6, hopefully that will fix the crashing, otherwise I'll use your patch.
