Hi guys I just want to know if there is way a way to automate what appears at start up in Kaos, whether it would be througjba grub gui editor, or at least being able to hide the irq notices or writings that show up at start up ?
Grub irq
Most likely, you are not using grub in KaOS, systemd-boot is used.
Systemd automates what starts up, you can use the GUI systemd-genie to see what services are running, and which ones you wish to stop from running.
It looks to my untrained eye that KaOS / Calamares is smart enough to detect that my T410 doesn't support EFI, and it looks to me that it installs grub.
That said, on other distros I have been advised to avoid a popular grub editor (I think it was Grub customizer).
That is why I said most likely
, when a legacy BIOS system is detected (those are pretty much at least 10 years old), grub is used.
When the system starts up it does show grub, and systemd and the genius program is installed, I checked out the program, very interesting.
But I do not know how to remove or make it so that an irq command does not appear at start up.
I really do like Kaos, it is very responsive and apps work well within Kaos, I installed this on my friend's laptop, and it and Porteus, have been the most responsive, they were better than xubuntu, lubuntu, peppermint, sparky, linux mint, and so on.
My friend's laptop is old but Kaos works surprisingly well on just 4 gigs of ram.
So guys how do you get rid of irq handlers at start up, because on my laptop and main computer, I do not have these irq handler messages showing up.
Can you quiet them or fix such issues ? Can you use systemd genie to fix issue and if so how ?
