Since quite a few apps needed to be removed (not maintained, no commits in a few years, no sign of porting away from deprecated Qt5), there is a room for a new app.
Since a few code editors also had to be removed recently (sublime, atom, both unmaintained) and an option became available to have a NOT electron based editor included, Zed is now up in the [build] repo.
