Hi!

I am really, really comfortable on KaOS. After install, I felt kind of "is this all?", because I came from Debian, where I must spend like 4 to 6 hours untill I can say "ok, I almost done".

This time, I just installed the distro, and put something like "sudo pacman -Syu && sudo pacman -S chrome thunderbird vlc libreoffice", and that was all.

By the way, I am pleased with the design, the KISS philosophy displayed in the repos, and how it runs just fine in my 2011 low and usually slow laptop. I was on Whezzy with Mate Desktop, and it was slower than now, on freaking KDE!

Just a tip for the developers: we should have Deluge in the repos, and (I don't know if it is even possible) some kind of integration between Dropbox and Dolphin, and I think that's it.

Greetings and hail to KaOS!

I hope to grow within :

By the way, I am from Argentina, South America.

Welcome to KaOS.

Regarding Deluge, best read the gtk and target user section of the FAQ. There are quite a number of very good bittorrent clients available in Qt, so Deluge is no candidate for the KaOS repo.

You might want to use the "search" option in Octopi and select by description, type torrent, and you see what is available.

If not enough, then you can build yourself, and maybe add to KCP:

Hola, vigo

Un gusto tenerte por acá ;)

Saludos desde España.

Hi, Demm! Hola, Yoyo!

Thanks for the answer!

I follow your advice, Demm, and I found that qbittorrent is pretty similar to Deluge, so I am testing it.

I read the whole main page, faqs and so on, quite enlightening (:

I know just a bit about programming, but I may help in translation, for example, so, I will find how to help.

Bienvenido a KaOS.

De Argentina también.

Saludos.

Bienvenido, otro Argentino por acá :-)
