KaOS user Cellix has come up with a very nice application to make the use of the KaOS Community Packages very easy and automated.

It is added to the repository and will move to all users after one or two days of testing.

With it, you can search for packages, search results also show the popularity of a package (as in how many votes/stars it received).

It automates the build and install of a selected package, it even has the option to set a package as a needed depend for another, so in case you remove a package "pacman -Rsn package_name" will also remove that package installed for just that KCP package.

If you only want to get the needed files and still build manually with makepkg, that option is there too.

Instructions are included with the installation of kcp, to get it:

sudo pacman -Syu

sudo pacman -S kcp
