I tried to uninstall pulseaudio but has a lot of dependency. It can be stopped without affecting the stability? They are valid archlinux methods ?
disable pulseaudio (solved)
No, this is not Arch, pulseaudio is build very different, just part of the full focus that KaOS implements in all parts.
In packaging sound apps, you have to make choices how to set files. In KaOS all is set for pulseaudio as default --focus one one sound end, make it as fully integrated as possible, don't package in such a way that 1/3 of the packages have no option set, 1/3 sets alsa, and the other 1/3 is set for pulse, no such thing in KaOS-- if there are issues, then fixing issues in pulse will be worked on, not workarounds to disable and cover up.
Post logs, output of issues or any other bug you have with pulseaudio, if you want a different backend, be prepared to rebuild about 150 packages, which makes no sense.
I have only a problem with firefox and flash, no sound. I do not know which logs you display information about the failure. I have always any issue with pulse en all distros, if it's not one thing is another.
This is the console output:

and my .asoundrc to always have the same sound card and have no problems with the webcam and the sound output on the graphics card:
pcm.!default {

playback.pcm
{

slave.pcm "dmix"
}
capture.pcm
{

}
}I have restart without the .asoundrc and any problem. The configuration of .asoundrc is for system without pulse.
Do you know what created that asoundrc?
Something is wrong? I've taken from alsa forum and it worked in debian and arch (with openbox, not pulseaudio). I have a usb DAC functioning as sound card. My web cam has a built-in microphone and your own card. And the nvidia card also has its own sound card. The motherboard also has a card to turn off in the bios. With this .asoundrc connect my usb DAC and play with alsa and everything works perfectly. I just installed again and did not know that kaos running pulseadio. The word-sound of linux is something esoteric: alsa-pulseaudio-phonon.
