Thanks for your kind reply.
I wondered about zero users requesting/needing too. Is this a case of just no interest in this distribution? Or a case of the chicken and the egg? Not using because on trying no IM, thus moving on right away?
I suppose it was mainly because KaOS is too young in diverse Linux versions to be known to the public, plus it has never advertised itself deliberately. Additionally some users running 32bit systems keep certain distances from KaOS (But I am by no means among those to persuade a 32bit version; on the contrary, I enjoy 64bit PC).
However, IM is truly important to most Linux-users living in the Eastern globe, weak support of which will be a potential factor to stop them from trying KaOS.
Seems like iBus is the better, but big issue is it depends on GTK2 & 3 and decent parts of the Gnome desktop, where fcitx has many parts that can be build fully gtk free (of course if fcitx will be chosen those parts that need gtk will be added too, so gtk applications can be used with IM too).
Apologize for not knowing the above details. In that case then, let's forget about iBus, and focus on Fcitx (which is winning increasing public praise in recent years). Also, I've been told from a friend that a third IM parallel to iBus and Fcitx, Scim. I haven't tried it before, but a first glance at it suggested that it adopts similar structure as iBus, what a pity.
After my previous thread, I browsed plentitude articles for identifying a proper Qt friendly IM. Till now voices from users whatever green or senior level, indicate Fcitx got the first ranking stably.
Below is the comparison of the three IM (cited from a senior linux user):
Response speed: fcitx > ibus > scim
Word Bank: ibus > fctix > scim
Programme Compatibility: scim > fcitx > ibus
Albeit personally I donot like Fcitx that much, but as it gains broader ever user base, I believe there is something positive behind its popularity, and try to accept the trend. For busy KaOS developers, I suggest you not focusing on IM packaging until one day there is the second guy of the same IM request as me.
