Hi guys! I'm new to KaOS. The distribution is nice and all but does anyone here has any idea why KaOS always forgets my Wifi and IM password after every reboot? It always prompts me to enter the password all over again.

Test if this package fixes the issue, it is in , but no need to use that repo, it is safe to install with:

sudo pacman -U http://kaosx.us/repo/build/networkmanager-vpnc-0.9.10.0-3-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz

Same problem here.

Also, I can't setup ip method to manual, the OK button is always disabled.

sudo pacman -U http://kaosx.us/repo/build/networkmanager-vpnc-0.9.10.0-3-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz

And the problem persists.

Check if getting these packages (also pacman -U) helps, these are the pre-openconnect update versions:

You need to get all 3.

it works, thank you very much.

Not a solution, but a workaround.....

Those 3 need to be rebuild with epoch, so all users can downgrade while updating (epoch fakes a newer version for an older package). But plasma-nm old version is not building atm, so use this workaround until that is sorted.

Thanks demm. Will try it this weekend. I'll keep you posted.

Hello again. I need a litle help about this: since I`ve updated the system the last time; the connection manager ask me the WiFi password, each time I boot. Until now, was always an automatic authentication process!

What must I modify?

Thanks a lot!

demm I tried what you suggested, but the problem still persists. The only difference is that everytime I issue sudo pacman -Syu gives me "networkmanager-vpnc: local (0.9.10.0-3) is newer than main (0.9.10.0-2)" which is normal because like you said, that package is in the dev repository and not in the main repository.

I don't understand why every time I have to enter my password, the "save password" option is disabled. That happens exactly to both the WiFi password and online accounts.

Problem solved. It seems that I have disabled KDE wallet when I first used KaOS. After enabling it, my online accounts and wifi passwords are saved. Coming from Cinnamon DE, I haven't really used KDE wallet before so I guess this is an absolute newbie mistake.

Now I wonder if I can suppress the password prompt for KDE wallet at start up. Any ideas?

Thanks, "solved" with the workaround. Waiting for permanent solution.

Can any of you try latest plasma-nm, there was a commit regarding password settings:

sudo pacman -U

Yep, It's working fine now.

I currently have this problem upon a fresh install of KaOS 2017.01 & current updates.
KDE will not remember the wifi password: I have to enter it every time I boot. I also enabled KWallet to prompt when an application uses the wallet all to no avail.
Is this a current known bug?

Please open a new thread. This complete unrelated, in 2014 it was all KDE 4 based. Closing this thread now.
