am using a UEFI boot with Kaos and Manjaro in one desktop build on a SSD. motherboard is a Z87 MSI board.after bootup to Kaos when i do a systemd-analyze i see that most time is spent in firmware (8 secs) and loader(when timeout is 0)+kernel+user space less than 2 seconds.
question is, is there a way to reduce firmware duration. (settings in setup screen of motherboard that can optimize the boot). i don't have windows.
solution: enabled fast boot. (removes initialization steps on USB.motherboard is nice enough to give me boot options after fast boot enabled by keeping power button depressed in case i need to get into BIOS)
