Hi, I have the same issue as Mack describes; when I boot into the live system and click install on the welcome screen it doesn't do anything. All the other buttons work perfectly, but it's the all important install KaOS that does nothing. I firstly tried the USB installer using DD which is where I found the issue, and subsequently made a DVD at the recommended 4x speed but still hit the same error.
So, these are the steps I've taken; downloaded the KaOS_2014.12 ISO, the md5sum of which matches (a331ea0dff7e27ae2fb1a54eb87609b0), dd'd it to my USB with;
sudo dd if=KaOS-2014.12-x86_63.ISO of=/dev/sdf
and booted into it, but no dice on the install button. I saw in the forums you request the output of sudo calamares -d, so here it is;
[live@localhost ~]$ sudo calamares -d

As I said, I then thought I'd try the DVD and burned it at 4x, but same problem (no output from calamares -d this time).
I've also seen requests for an inxi output, so here's that;
[live@localhost ~]$ inxi -GSPN

I'm not running a UEFI system, so that won't be causing a problem.
If anyone has seen this before and can point me in the right direction, or knows a workaround please let me know, thanks
