I tried to install 'avidemux' from the KCP repository, but it fails to build. I guess it is looking for the old Qt4. Here is the output message:

-- Checking for Qt 4

-- *****************

-- Found unsuitable Qt version "5.4.0" from /usr/lib/qt5/bin/qmake

Could not find Qt 4

CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:17 (MESSAGE):

Qt4 NOT FOUND

Any advice where to go from here?

Thanks,

--Mohamed

Added some export lines to KCP packages, so Qt4 is found for old packages like this, please try building again.

For future reference, much better to open an issue in KCP for such a package, one place to see full history, those active in KCP all get an email for new opened issues and things don't get lost like in a forum thread.

Thank you demm for your response. Unfortunately, it is still producing the same error. I will open an issue on the kcp github but I doubt I will get a response. I do not think I am better than all the other issues filed over there without response.

Thanks,

???

Just that package, had one issue filed so far, many participated in trying to help, same with most......

5 days later

You are right demm. It was my mistake to say "all the other issues". Indeed, this package has only filed issue that I have looked at sometime ago. Most probably, I got the negative feeling of posting on github since the other open issue was also related to a build problem and still unresolved.
