I know the point of a rolling release is to keep things as up to date as possible, but is it possible to have updates done in something of a digest format? It seems every day or at least every other day, I'm getting a notification about updates needed. Can non-urgent security updates be released on a weekly schedule to keep things more orderly?

You can set the notifier to check weekly, just make sure to never install anything new until you do your updates.
