Time again to use the [kde-next] repo. Qt.57RC is already up there. Needed rebuilds are done, except Skrooge, fails so far with 5.7.
Expect Plasma 5.7Beta in kde-next soon too.

Enable by adding kde-next above build in your pacman.conf, and have them above all. Please, if you do not know how to edit your pacman.conf, then do not use kde-next, editing pacman.conf is by far the simplest part of helping with testing.

I have a question, Qt 5.7 will be in next, till plasma 5.7 is released and Qt 5.6.1 in stable? So what's you plans, it's will be used straight new versions Qt 5.7, 5.8 rather than LTS 5.6?

Seems Qt 5.7 final will be released in the next few days, so plan is to skip Qt 5.6.1 altogether and move on.
QtWebengine really needs to move to a newer chromium checkout (I truly can't believe they keep a complete unsupported and insecure chromium checkout for the LTS 5.6).
Plasma 5.7beta will be released in a few days too. Plan is to move all from kde-next to build once this beta version looks good.
Makes no sense to build all twice, knowing that both Qt 5.7 & Plasma 5.7 have tons of fixes not available in their 5.6 versions.

Are you waiting for plasma 5.6.95 on the 16th? The repos are already frozen right? Eager to test the multi-screen fixes...

Thanks for the great work!

KDE Apps 16.04.2 early tag is build on Qt 5.7RC now too, this is not a final release, that won't be until next week.
Solely up for internal testing on new Qt.

    9 days later

The kde-next repo is closing again.
Qt 5.7.0 is released as stable final, all of KDE is rebuild on it.
Plasma 5.6.95 will be used for the next ISO, many issues that were seen in previous releases are now fixed, very few regressions found.

Make sure to edit your pacman.conf again, and comment out/remove [kde-next]

I really hate new login screen, new taskamanager, new system tray.

KaOS has none of those new 🙂
Midna did not change with 5.6.95.....
But Breeze has login screen changes reverted, 5.7 final will come with the old theme.
