What ISO was used?
What owns those files?
pacman -Qo /usr/share/icons/hicolor/128x128/apps/phonon-gstreamer.png
Files are owned by:
phonon-backend-gstreamer 4.8.2-1
I used 2016.01 ISO

It's better to use 2016.06 iso.

Same for you, KaOS is not intended to be updated 1-2 twice a year. Please use the KaOS 2016.06 ISO. The conflicting package is no longer in the repos. Plus when you will update from that old an ISO you will be downloading just about the same as getting a current ISO.
Anyone trying again to use an ISO from January or March, DO NOT post here, there is a very good reason KaOS always provide you with up to date ISOs.
yes i am using current KaOS 2016.06 ISO and the problem is gone. Thanks !

If you are really familiar with KaOS and how pacman works, there are ways to fix such issues (use of pacman -Rncs or -Rns on the conflicting package no longer in the repo), but in this case, really makes no sense and for a new user only leads to confusion.
just dl the newest iso and installed that. gave some weird installation error message relating to python at the end but it works and updates without issue.
