The kde-next repo is reopened to get ready for Qt 5.8.0 and plasma 5.9.
Both are now up in kde-next in their pre-release versions.
Qt is build from the just released 5.8 RC tars, Plasma is build from master git, currently at 5.8.90.
Frameworks 5.29 was also fully rebuild on this new Qt version. Expect akonadi and probably spectacle up soon too. The latter will have wayland support, if build on KWin 5.9 & latest git.

Some apps have QtWebkit support disable since there is no RC release up for that one yet and apps fail to build when trying to use a mismatched Qt version.

As always with kde-next, make sure you have the build repo enabled and add kde-next above build. If you do not know how to edit your pacman.conf DO NOT use kde-next, editing pacman.conf is by far the simplest part of helping with testing.

The Pro's of an ISO

     1) No installation required, plus nothing really bad can happen through the live system
     2) These new versions (Qt/kf5/P5) offer new support for Wayland
     3) Everybody can test on real hardware plus send SysInfo and other logs
     4) KaOS gets attention by developers, who like to give this stack a run without
the need to compile and package all by their own or use something like Neon,
which comes with an outdated Kernel and through that outdated GPU drivers for Wayland.
a month later

With the build of Qt 5.8.0 final and subsequent rebuilds of Frameworks and Plasma, now all is ready to move to stable users soon.
The kde-next repo is closed again, Qt 5.8.0 is now in the [build] repo.
If you did use kde-next, make sure to remove it again from you pacman.conf.
