Konsole history (up and down arrows) is printing out the content of the bash history file. Please see if you can reproduce. Thanks.
Konsole History
Make sure to note what repos in use. Is this posted under correct section?
I'm sorry, the repo is the build repo.
I noticed odd contents in the history, but afaik, it should read from ./~bash_history

OK, thanks. I just hadn't noticed the the bash_history printing out previously, and no other kde desktop has this happening in konsole. How do you search the history in konsole having to go through all the bash_history before finding one of your previous commands. Just thought I'd let you know. I did not think that it should print out the contents of the file itself, start-kde, etc...

That part is new/wrong, printing out start-kde, xinitrc and so on, not sure when this started, seems about two days ago to me.
Yes, that's why I brought it up. I have been running the build repo for quite some time now, and this just started within the last week or so. It is not doing this in Neon, who pretty much keeps up with Kaos.
I need to pinpoint it a closer date range. If it is a week, then probably the readline update. If it is from with the last 2-4 days, then not clear yet what update caused this.
Neon does not roll , it just builds KDE from git.
I see. I'll keep an eye on things, it's just and annoyance, and see what happens. Thanks.
Can you show what hidden rc files you have in your home dir? sddm seems to read some.
ls -a

This is a printout of my home directory `[rwright@roderick-pc ~]$ ls -a ./ .dbus/ .gnupg/ Music/ .bash_history .directory .Xauthority
../ Desktop/ .kde/ Pictures/ .bash_logout .esd_auth .xinitrc
.cache/ Documents/ .local/ .pki/ .bash_profile .gtkrc-2.0 .xinitrc.debug*
.config/ Downloads/ .mozilla/ Videos/ .bashrc .kcp.json .xsession
[rwright@roderick-pc ~]$
OK, that is the issue, something has created .xinitrc again, please post the output link of Octopi > tools > SysInfo.
The info will not fit, is there a certain portion of it that you need demm?
It produces a link, use that, not the output that is in that gist. And yes, all output is needed.
Ok, the link is https://gist.github.com/84354aa4c57736db1aed288ecf5ab236
Reinstalled today
No use for debugging now, ~ 300 updated.
Yes, I did also (re-installed), for other reasons, and I no longer have that problem. Thanks for all of your help. Kaos is still the best!
You still have the ~/.xinitrc ?
