majoballs After launching the browser, a message is displayed: Failed to connect to the native host. Make sure the 'plasma-browser-integration' package is installed. Of course browser addon and package "plasma-browser-integration" are installed.
raul338 This only happens with chrome, with firefox I have no problems and the integration is working
majoballs Refreshing the thread I reported a bug at bugs.kde.org. Here's what the answer was recently: link
demm Thanks for the link, plasma-browser-integration will be adjusted so it will keep the chrome files in /etc/opt. Tested here that it works then without error messages. You can test too by copying /opt/google/chrome-unstable/native-messaging-hosts to /etc/chrome.
majoballs OK, so I copied /opt/google/chrome-unstable/native-messaging-hosts to /etc/chrome (I had to create it because it did not exist). Unfortunately, no effect. Did I skip something?
demm The fix is up in the [build] repo, plasma-browser-integration 5.13.90-2, contemplating to move Plasma 5.14RC to stable, there really are no issues with it.....
nick0bre_chile Well even though this discussion is many years old. It's still doing today, with Firefox 125.0.1 in my case ( check pic here https://i.imgur.com/zorAESi.png ) I hope some one could help pls.
demm Please start a new thread, this is way too old to be the same issue, it is not even the same Desktop anymore. Closing this old thread.
