Hi, after updating the system today and restarting I had some errors, among others I did not load the panel or the wallpaper.

    I have tried using the kde-next and build repositories and the problem does not exist, plasma starts normally, but I have problems to decompress .tar.gz and .tar.xz files from Dolphin, from konsole I can decompress without problems, just that.

    Si ese problema existe inclusive ark parece estar defectuoso, otro problema vlc no funciona simplemente deja de funcionar sin ningun rastro para averiguar que pasa cuando se lo llama con un archivo cuando se abre solo inicia pero no puede abrir archivo de ningun tipo simplemente deja de funcionar se cierra.

    If that problem exists even ark seems to be defective, another vlc problem does not work it just stops working without any trace to find out what happens when it is called with a file when it opens it only starts but can not open file of any kind it just stops working

      To help with this, clearer logs are needed.
      jomada Since you use a lot of non repo/KaOS packages, is this theme related?

      Make sure to start Plasma in the console with kquitapp5 plasmashell && plasmashell to get some proper output

      LuisVicente Can you start you're own topic, or open a bug report for vlc issues, this will get impossible to debug in one thread.

          jomada Can you try and remove flatpak? That one has moved too soon, needs new libarchive from the [build] repo.

          Ark issue is on the [build] repo only I presume, it was missed in the needed libarchive rebuilds.

              demm 1. Fixed the Ark in build, decompress without problems when updating Ark.
              2. I returned with the stable repositories and the problem is solved by eliminating Flatpak.

                15 days later

                Actually I had this issue on first boot after installing from the June ISO. I spawned a kconsole by keybind, and was able to run commands including the web browser from the terminal, just on a black background without kwin running (no panel, no click on desktop,etc) I laid it down to Wayland issues, because when I rebooted and switched to STD X session Plasma, everything was normal.
                However, afterwards I was able to run in Wayland mode fine...dunno?

                  Danny Please start your own thread, if you have Plasma/panel issues, this thread was about broken flatpak, and was resolved by new flatpak, closing.
