Recently I found ImageWriter not work well with my USB Storage (Toshiba, 64GB, USB3.2gen): it could not identify the USB storage. If I do not wish to use dd neither, which other tools do you suggest me using to burn the iso file successfully?

BTW, I understand quite well that UltraISO and Rufus CANNOT be used.

if you are on linux, dd. But it renders unusable for other things. I have not found a way to use the rest free space to put other files. I use an old 4gb stick just for kaos iso

raul338 I used to keep an old 4gb stick as well, also branded Toshiba, only for KaOS installation. Currently not on linux yet, but it's a good idea and I will try. Thanks for your answer.

demm Yes, I just downloaded from the links but could not get the usb stick found by ImageWriter. A thought is that, ImageWriter might be better compatible with Win7 than with present Win10. I will try again on Win7 later.

preston the usb stick found by ImageWriter

KaOS does not have ImageWriter, the app is Isowriter, the former is an application from OpenSuse.
You did not mention before whether you are looking for a Linux or Windows solution, if for Windows and Imagewriter doesn't work, you can use Rufus (not tested enough to add to the KaOS docs as fully supported), if you use the dd option in Rufus settings, do not use the default, that will fail on install.

Thanks for your thoughtfulness. I managed to finish the matter on Win7, with ImageWriter and also successfully with Isowriter. Not know exactly why Win10 will fail to burn, perhaps it's due to that I removed some system components for Win10 installation image long ago, but I won't dig more into that.
