demm I meant pacman -U from /var/cache/pacman/pkg, let me know if you don't have 0.16.3 in your cache, then I will upload that previous version.
bvbfan I don't have previous version, my cache is mounted in memory, also I update through clearing cache exclusively. Can you upload previous version?
demm sudo pacman -U https://sourceforge.net/projects/kaosx/files/packages/appstream-0.16.3-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst
bvbfan It doesn't fix the issue. Probably another change of sub depend? Did you know who provide access to DBus to flatpak? Or qt5-base change?
bvbfan xdg-utils is beta? Also another log F: Can't find a11y bus: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.TimedOut: Failed to activate service 'org.a11y.Bus': timed out (service_start_timeout=120000ms) It seems all DBus calls are timeout which misbehave apps
demm bvbfan xdg-utils is beta? Also another log It has been a git checkout build for quite a few years, since no release in forever, just switched to a first release tar build since 2017/2018 (1.2.0 beta, just 6 commits added since last git checkout build). No idea yet about flatpak failures.

demm Since you mentioned it started a week ago, then no, the Boost/ICU update/rebuilds are not related (that is why the qt5-base rebuild, just 2 days ago).
bvbfan Switching back to stable not fix the issue, so some package between ~ 10 days to now (in stable) contains the incorrect change, only systemd is direct depend on same period.
bvbfan It looks like xdg-dbus-proxy is split from flatpak repo, could it make difference? https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/packaging/packages/flatpak/-/blob/main/PKGBUILD?ref_type=heads#L101 Failed to create DBus proxy for org.freedesktop.UPower
demm If you want to compare with that version, flatpak in kde-next is also that version, make sure to pacman -U flatpak & appstream from kde-next.
demm If you want Arch, then you are using the wrong distro. For that setting, no it is not needed for unstable flatpak: https://github.com/flatpak/flatpak/blob/main/meson_options.txt#L141 :pf dbus-proxy kde-next/flatpak 1.15.6-1 /usr/lib/flatpak-dbus-proxy
bvbfan demm Just pointed out I didn't see it as depend, it was pretty clear in Arch one. No difference with appstream 1.0 and flatpak 1.15.6, probably a depend issue.
demm It was just reported on Matrix that downgrading p11-kit fixed the Flatpak issues. I will check bug reports for 0.25.3, otherwise a downgrade will be needed to the previous version in the repo. EDIT: Please test with sudo pacman -U http://kaosx.tk/repo/build/p11-kit-0.25.3-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst
bvbfan I found the issue, I see in the log [2023-12-10 09:25:28] F: Could not find CUPS server I just install cups and no more delay. Probably I should report a bug upstream, cups should not be a hard requirement to flatpak, right?
demm bvbfan It is not for Flatpak, but looks like xdg-desktop-portal-kde is causing that delay if lpr is not present (lpr is part of cups): https://invent.kde.org/search?search=cups&nav_source=navbar&project_id=2163&group_id=1568&search_code=true&repository_ref=master I'll add the cups depend to it, instead of just libcups.
