Hi,

Just updated the system: had 31 updates waiting. Update went fine until it got to main/openjdk file. Following is the error message that displayed in Yakuake:

98%

Then the update proceeded as usual until it reached the installation of downloaded files. Again following is the message that displayed in Yakuake:

When you use a non-reparenting window manager

set _JAVA_AWT_WM_NONREPARENTING=1 in the relevant

/etc/profile.d/openjdk7.* file.

Don't know anything about programming, I am just a casual user, so I don't know what the message means.

In any case, I restarted my computer and did a pacman -Syu thinking I could download the openjdk file again. No dice. But according to Konsole everything seems OK. So I wonder!??!.

TAKE 2

Launched Octopi >Selected openjdk file >Selected REinstall.

Reinstallation went fine. But I still got the following message

When you use a non-reparenting window manager

set _JAVA_AWT_WM_NONREPARENTING=1 in the relevant

/etc/profile.d/openjdk7.* file.

I did not tinker with any file, I just wouldn't know how.

As always, run mirror-check before updating, especially if you see issues like that, please report back if mirror-check shows an issue with this mirror not being synced.

As per your suggestion, I just ran mirror-check and from the Mirror-Check - KDialog window the result is:

Success. Checked mirrors are synced.

So all is fine, I presume you run kwin, so the message you see is not for you, it is part of the .install, IF you choose not to use kwin
