Hi all,
Come across the KaOS never heard of it till today. Been a Linux user for only a few months. Have been using Fedora ( redhat ).
I made the move to try and resolve some keymapping keyboard issues I had in Ubuntu and a little in Fedora. I was told to try this. Long story short there is a range of software Id like and need to get running. First I guess my question is about getting software on this OS. ( I will be doing some reading in the meantime ). But these are the following programs I would like to get installed on this OS and wonder if it is possible:
Google Chrome
Skype
Looks like this would need to be a .tar install
I wont go on. So in Ubuntu there are .deb downloads. Redhat = RPM's etc
To get software on this OS does most of it need to be done by installing via .tar ( compiling from source )
If so what would a .tar install look like from terminal , differ in many ways.
Any tips to get started on the OS would be amazing !!!
Thanks all
Daz
