I own a Nokia XL. I would like to flash it with a custom ROM. Most of flashing tools like Nokia x flasher run in windows OS only. I have installed wine but when I even just call it from the command line I'm told wine is not a command.
Wine

When you installed Wine you received a pop-up explaining Wine in KaOS is 64 bit only. With the info you have given so far no can know what command you are using, what app, if it is 32 bit only. But since many in Windows are still 32 bit only, that is probably the issue.
In case you did not use the option to save the popup message, here it is again:

I have always known KaOS was 64bit only. I received that pop up too.
I was using Nokia X flasher as I stated. I don't why I think that program is 64bit.
Is it normal if I type "wine" in the command line and be told "bash: wine: command not found"
Run from cli with wine64
demm In the mean time, I was trying to dual boot opensuse with Kaos and use opensuse to run wine and flash my phone with it, then remove opensuse when done. The installation failed and I don't have a bootloader. I have opensuse in a flashdisk.
How can I go back to my Kaos installation or must I do a fresh reinstallation.
Reinstall is virtually never needed.
If you used GRUB as bootloader, see the doc to get GRUB back:
https://kaosx.us/docs/grub/
If you used systemd-boot, then post the content of the /boot partition, see if Suse completely wiped all of the systemd-boot files or not.
I have a similar problem. I installed wine and mono, too (I'm not sure if wine depends or not on mono) and I tried to install Search Everything, the 64 bit version of the windows program. The installation didn't even start. In another distros it works.
I wonder if anybody succeded in installing something with this borked version of wine.

Please don't post in old, unrelated thread, start your own. Time to close this one.
There is nothing borked
with wine, just search this forum and you will find threads with working, 64bit wine applications. Or see the G+ post https://plus.google.com/u/0/115793168478540780255/posts/VmpQ2f9NRT1
