dax84 I think Vivaldi would be a good addition. It is a stable, feature-rich browser that is a good alternative to other browsers.

Vivaldi is well maintained in KCP, is closed source and requires no compiling. What is the benefit of having that one in the repo? Same download time, just unpack.

dax84 I would love to see Kvantum added as well. It is a popular, widely-used application style with tons of features and themes.

It has just one vote.....

me gustaria que sumara
"wps-office" (https://github.com/KaOS-Community-Packages/wps-office)
"SmoothVideo Project (SVP)" (https://www.svp-team.com/wiki/Download)

How about VS Code to replace Brackets? It's opensource and more popular than the former.
And maybe having a third option for cloud/storage clients, Nextcloud client. The server counterpart it's a solution that is more community driven than its former project (ownCloud) and also applies with their desktop client.

bvbfan I didn't know there was a fork of vscode that is also Libre 😃

tatizaffaroni I would like you to add
      "wps-office"

That won't happen, licensing does not permit it being distributed by a Linux distro.

loonix Would be great to have at least one mind mapping app in repo.

      freeplane

      Is zanshin not that?

demm I wouldn't call zanshin mind mapping software. When I think of a mind map it's a canvas of free-floating bubbles that can be dragged/rearranged and associated with other bubbles. They can be sorted in a hierarchical manner (parent bubble -> child bubble) or remain independent of the other bubbles.

I started using freemind years ago and then switched to freeplane when development stalled on freemind. I often use a mind map to help visualize what's happening in a program. I'll create a separate bubble for each function or each snippet of code that I want to analyze and will often find redundancies and duplicate code that I hadn't previously noticed. A mind map can also help form the core of a flowchart.

        rober ¿Plex media server?

That is the same answer as explained in first post, and few replies, this requires no building, is in KCP, only needs downloading and unpacking, so why add to repo?

None will be added anyway of these just unpack, without proper explanation why the KaOS community would benefit.

Ok, I got it wrong I thought it was possible candidates to enter Kaos repositories. Plex is outdated and I think it would be a good option for an official repository, but I guess it would be a problem for the top of 2200 official repo packages.

My smart tv Samsung is sad with this but it is what there is. Options in repos official??

fjmorazan But to use Kodi it has to be with a box since there is no native Kodi application for smart tv.

Emby server there is no way to make it work on Samsung TV.

I will continue packing Plex by hand, since it is very outdated in Kcp.

          Thx.

What about NextCloud?, is it possible to add it? I'm not sure if it need building, but I think that for many users it would be useful to have their files available from anywhere.

And maybe freefilesync, it has a lot of useful features (MTP support) and it's easier to use than rsync or Kup.

I'm sorry for not being clear, I was talking about the server package.
