How about VS Code to replace Brackets? It's opensource and more popular than the former.
And maybe having a third option for cloud/storage clients, Nextcloud client. The server counterpart it's a solution that is more community driven than its former project (ownCloud) and also applies with their desktop client.
Room for new packages
M$ can make every open source not so open -> https://github.com/Microsoft/vscode/issues/17996
That's the real open source https://github.com/VSCodium/vscodium
gstreamer-vaapi will be good package, i compiled it by myself.
Console apps:
pv
exfat-utilities
Reference for those unfamiliar with pv:
https://www.cyberciti.biz/open-source/command-line-hacks/pv-command-examples/
Android tools:
adb
fastboot
heimdall
Would be great to have at least one mind mapping app in repo.
loonix exfat-utilities
That one is already added, see https://github.com/KaOSx/main/commit/ff69b9fc438db68bc27e050e29d897f375897e6d
tatizaffaroni I would like you to add
"wps-office"
That won't happen, licensing does not permit it being distributed by a Linux distro.
demm I wouldn't call zanshin mind mapping software. When I think of a mind map it's a canvas of free-floating bubbles that can be dragged/rearranged and associated with other bubbles. They can be sorted in a hierarchical manner (parent bubble -> child bubble) or remain independent of the other bubbles.
I started using freemind years ago and then switched to freeplane when development stalled on freemind. I often use a mind map to help visualize what's happening in a program. I'll create a separate bubble for each function or each snippet of code that I want to analyze and will often find redundancies and duplicate code that I hadn't previously noticed. A mind map can also help form the core of a flowchart.

¿Plex media server?

rober ¿Plex media server?
That is the same answer as explained in first post, and few replies, this requires no building, is in KCP, only needs downloading and unpacking, so why add to repo?
None will be added anyway of these just unpack, without proper explanation why the KaOS community would benefit.

Ok, I got it wrong I thought it was possible candidates to enter Kaos repositories. Plex is outdated and I think it would be a good option for an official repository, but I guess it would be a problem for the top of 2200 official repo packages.
My smart tv Samsung is sad with this but it is what there is. Options in repos official??

rober i think you can configure kodi to behave like a media streamer sever http://homemediaportal.com/enable-kodi-dlna-kodi-media-server/
Or you can use emby server from KCP
I also vote for VS Code. It is the biggest open source project on Github for years.
I like the project very much and so do others. 2 years ago, they had already 2.6 million users.
Today, they are the most prefered editor in the world.

What about NextCloud?, is it possible to add it? I'm not sure if it need building, but I think that for many users it would be useful to have their files available from anywhere.
And maybe freefilesync, it has a lot of useful features (MTP support) and it's easier to use than rsync or Kup.
For NextCloud, what are you guys looking for? A server package? The Qt5 client, like is in KCP?
I'm sorry for not being clear, I was talking about the server package.
Then I actually have one more question for Nextcloud, what does it offer that Seafile doesn't? That one has both the server and client already in the repo, gives you the option to install in your own server or use Seafile from upstream....
And if it is for access to your files from anywhere, there are quite a few in the repo, like Dropbox and Spideroak, did you use any of these already?
Hi,
I'd suggest Beaker Browser, I was trying it and found it a good tool to learn about and work on decentralized internet.
