Linux alternatives and available here are Qucs (in the repositories) and Kicad (in KCP).
unfortunately Qucs is not in the octopi repo & KPC version of KiCAD is not installing. Kindly make available stable EDA packages. It will be helpful to the designers & hobbyists. Personally I use KiCAD & the installation error is giving pain. I really liked KaOS but Kicad seems a drawback of this system... 
Downloaded the tmux file from github (https://github.com/tmux/tmux/releases/tag/1.9a) & replaced the downloaded one in the PKGBUILD containing folder. Issue resolved. It seems that the KCP repo has the wrong file included because the kcp -i tmux is giving the same error. Who knows... :-/
Thanks bvbfan for your response, I tried with the above line, then another error occurred regarding the mentioned md5sum in the PKGBUILD file.
Copied the correct md5sum of kicad-4.0.3 package from launchpad (https://launchpad.net/kicad/+download). Now the integrity check passed but the installation process stucked at the previous place again. http://pastebin.com/x8AgxH3M

It does not skip the integrity rather gives an error that the checks are missing.

I wanted to install KiCAD so I downloaded & extracted the kicad.zip file from the KCP repo. In the extracted folder i ran makepkg -si & after a few steps (36%) the installation aborted. the error message at the end of the installation log is: http://pastebin.com/MSBMLjbZ
Then I tried with the kcp -i kicad command directly from terminal, in that case the installation was aborted at 43%. The install log is: http://pastebin.com/eVJQ9nZ3
After searching in google I found this bug which is resolved in the next commits. I would request to kindly update the KiCAD package in the KCP repo.

Hello KaOS community 
I am a big fan of avr microcontrollers & wanted to test it in the KaOS platform. I downloaded the avrdude-svn & libusb-compat packages from the KCP database. First I installed the libusb-compat package by running the makepkg -si command from the unzipped directory. It installed properly without any errors. It is also showing in octopi.

Now when I go to the avrdude-svn unzipped folder & run makepkg -si , an error message pops up in the terminal.

Thanks Demm for your prompt response. I wanted to remove a package (conky-manager) that I installed from KCP repo. I googled & followed this tutorial : http://www.linuxandlife.com/2011/12/right-way-to-uninstall-software-in-arch.html
After successfully uninstalling the packages I tried the command: sudo pacman -Scc just to test the features of pacman. After running this command when I run the following commands, the result is this:

then I screwed up the mirrors list by altering the servers. The current content of my /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist is this:

Any hints on how to reinstall/recover the default mirrors list please?
Server = https://kaos-frankfurt.tk/repo/$repo this gives error 403 then I searched the forum & changed the default mirror to Server = http://kaosx.tk/repo/$repo which does not give error while syncing. Please suggest me the correct default mirror
same problem here. I am an KaOS first timer please help. Octopi syncs perfectly but when I try syncing the database using pacman the error occurs. Need your guidance.
